Meet Dr. Hockley
Dr. Jaclyn Hockley was born in Calgary, Alberta and raised on an acreage outside of the city. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Calgary in Biological Sciences (with Distinction) in 2010. From there she moved to Saskatoon to attend the Western College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2015. While at the WCVM, she was a recipient of the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association Student Member Leadership Award.
After her graduation, she practiced at a small animal clinic in Saskatoon for two years before relocating to beautiful Victoria with her husband, Miles Waghray, who works as a lawyer. They share their home with 2 large and fluffy cats, Oliver and Taj, and a very energetic and affectionate dog, Hendrix.
In her spare time, Jaclyn enjoys doing CrossFit, reading, hiking, paddle boarding, and traveling with her husband.
Jaclyn has a passion for small animal medicine and maintains a practice of both surgery and clinical appointments. She has a particular interest in dentistry, soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and dermatology.
